Hi there! I’m Amber—also known as Amber Hawthorne-Spratlen—and I love creating stories that make kids giggle, dream big, and believe in themselves.

For more than 20 years, I’ve worked in schools helping children learn and grow. With a Master’s degree in Education and lots of classroom adventures under my belt, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful imagination can be. I started writing poetry and short stories back in high school, and I never stopped. Now, I get to turn big ideas into fun, heartwarming stories that encourage confidence, kindness, and creativity.

I live in Cleveland with my husband and three amazing children, who inspire many of my ideas. When I’m not writing, I’m usually thinking up new characters, new adventures, and new ways to remind kids just how special they are.
